FFWD - Coeur A La Creme

I have flipped past the picture of this dessert in the cookbook Around My French Table many times thinking ... that is a beautiful dessert!!  A added bonus was that is was so easy to make for something that looks pretty special.

I let mine chill for 2 days and it probably drained 1/8 cup of liquid.  I did use the lower-fat cream cheese .. Neufcatel.

It really is the perfect Valentine Dessert.  I used one large mold and it was firm enough to slice.

I had a few extra raspberries ... so I kept playing :-)

  2. So pretty. Mine never firmed up as much as yours but no matter - I made tiny ones so no slicing needed!

  5. Wow! Beauuuuutiful, Kendra! I'm very intrigued that yours drained 1/8 cup liquid...mine released a few drops and that is it. Guess it is the dry climate up here in Montana! ;)

  6. Wow, Kendra. You win. This is absolutely drop dead gorgeous. And, nobody I have read about got 1/8 cup of whey from their Coeur. I got nothin'. You were able to slice it? Lucky you. Nice berries. I hope mine looks as beautiful when I unveil it tonight.

  7. Gorgeous Kendra!! So glad this came out so well for you. This was a hit in my house, too! I was very happy with the way mine came out! I had put paper towels under the mold and they were wet when I removed the coeur…but I have no idea how much liquid drained. It must have been enough though, because mine was firm enough to slice. Have a great weekend!

  8. I'm glad this came out so well for you. I love how playfully you decorated with raspberries. I didn't have much liquid drain off either.

  9. Yours came out so pretty..maybe the two days makes a difference. The 1/8 cup is very impressive. Did you whip the cream just right? I think that may make the difference. Bravo to you!!!

  11. Beautiful! I love the colour contrast. Mine didn't drain much either, but it was firm enough to slice, so I was happy.

  12. Mine was in for 24 hours and barely drained. Others complained of conistency so I wonder if this version just needs two days?
